Do you really know who your customers are? Or how to attract new ones?
It is well known that customers buy from people they trust. Creating a brand really means developing a relationship with your customers so they trust you and become repeat buyers.
These are the steps to developing an ever-increasing base of customers:
1. Do your homework to find out who exactly is your target market—broken down by specific publics (audiences). This is an often missed but very vital step. Determining your publics is done by undertaking market research and surveys. Without this, any marketing (advertising, direct mail, public relations, etc.) will not be as effective as you have not narrowed down your audience. Don’t waste your marketing dollars by advertising to “everyone”.
2. Once you have determined your target market, then obtain a mailing list. Use a reputable list broker to get the best list you can buy with as much detail as possible. For example, you found by market research that your top target public was gift shops. Then get a list of gift shops (not bookstores, not grocery stores, not any thing else) with details of contact information (name, address, etc.) but also email, size of store, number of employees and so on.
Our ASaP Mailing List Consultants will be able to help you find just the right list for the exact demographic of people who need your products or services. They will also work with you to plan out the most effective way to promote to that list.
